Born on May 27, 1977, Marco Ragusa has worked since 2000, first as a graduate student, then as a PhD student of the Research Doctorate in Endocrinological Sciences (title obtained in 2007) and finally as a post-doc, within the research group coordinated by the Prof Michele Purrello, dealing with the genomics of complex systems. In 2008 he went to the School of Chemistry in Edinburgh to study RNA delivery systems based on the use of microspheres. In 2011 he became a researcher at the G.F. Ingrassia, while in 2018 he assumed the role of Associate Professor at BIOMETEC. Since 2009 he teaches "Biology and Genetics" at the Medicine and Nursing degree courses and has been involved as a teacher in numerous University Masters, and is currently a member of the College of the PhD in Complex Systems. His research activity in the last 10 years has focused on the study of non-coding RNAs in human pathologies.
