Expected Learning Outcomes

According to the Degree Regulation, learning goals aim at introducing the basic concepts of business administration, that means how sports organisations are structured and work. With specific reference to the sport sector, the module also provides the necessary knowledge for understanding the principles and instruments of management and control.

Knowledge and understanding

At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the basic issues concerning business administration of sports organizations; these goals will be achieved through face-to-face lectures.

Applying knowledge and understanding

The course aims at developing the ability to apply the business administration concepts to sports organizations; this goal will be achieved through case discussion.

Communication skills

At the end of the course, the student will be able to develop and transfer basic information about sports organizations' business administration to both to specialist and non-specialist.

Communication skills are verified through the final exam.

Learning skills

The course is aimed at developing student’s ability to broaden and deepen  the knowledge acquired with reference to sports organization's business administration

Required Prerequisites

No previous study of Business Administration is required.

Detailed Course Content

The module of “Economia delle aziende e dello sport” (“Business Administration”) provides a comprehensive framework of the basic principles and concepts concerning economic activities, i.e. production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.

The module focuses on sports organisations. Indeed, adequate logics of business administration are necessary to operate in an effective and efficient way. That helps sports organisations achieve financial, market, social and environmental success.

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

Written test, composed of :

- open-ended questions (with limited space for each answer);

- multiple-choice questions.

 

Time: 35-40 minutes, depending on the complexity of the questions.

 

“Economia delle aziende dello sport” test is part of the integrated exam named “Economia e diritto delle imprese sportive” (“Economics and law of sports organisations”).

In ordinary sessions, the exams of all modules (“Economia delle aziende dello sport”, “Diritto privato”, “Diritto pubblico”) are simultaneous.

 

A final test of “Economia delle aziende dello sport” for attending students is also organised soon after concluding the module.

 

 

An exam in English is possible for Erasmus students. In this case, interested students must previously inform the teacher.
