Module General Surgery

To obtain basic knowledge on principal surgical emergency diseases: intestinal obstruction, peritonitis, gastrointestinal bleedings and abdominal trauma, abdominal wall hernia, jaundice, peptic ulcer, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely (if imposed by law) it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus

Students must have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, internal medicine (important requirements)

Each student must attend at least 50% of the lessons expected from Study Course

Oral exam. Elements to be evaluated: relevance of the answers, quality of their contents, ability to connect with other topics within the program, ability to report examples, quality of technical language, and overall expressive ability.
