TEORIA TECNICA E DIDATTICA DELL'ATTIVITA' MOTORIA PER L'ETA' ANZIANA
Academic Year 2023/2024 - Teacher: Alessandra AMATOExpected Learning Outcomes
The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to prevent and improve morphological and functional alterations given by physiological and pathological aging processes. This objective will be pursued through the acquisition of knowledge of the theory, technique and didactics of motor activities adapted to the needs of the elderly individual.
At the examinations, students will be expected to demonstrate correct specific and general terminology, proper use of various techniques, and be able to plan with the acquired skills an appropriate work plan to achieve the set goal in relation to the physiological or pathological condition of the subject.
At the end of the course the student should have acquired the basis for the planning and control of motor activities adapted to the elderly in the various components, positions and executive dynamics, demonstrating that he/she has also acquired the ability to design a practical and technical pathway for the organization of individual teaching units or several structured and interconnected units for short, medium and long-term programming.

Learning Assessment
Learning Assessment Procedures
Midterm test involving the delivery of an in-depth report and articulating a motor activity lesson adapted to the needs of an elderly person. E.g., structuring an AFA session for the elderly, elderly with osteoporosis, diabetic elderly, cardiopathic elderly, obese elderly, etc.
In addition, a written and/or oral test will be given in the scheduled appointments of the Graduate Course examination calendar. The committee will be composed of the teaching faculty members.
