REPRODUCTION PHYSIOLOGY
The course allows the student to acquire the knowledge inherent to the functions of the male and female reproductive system.

Detailed Course Content
The functions of the REPRODUCTIVE system
- The male reproductive system: the functions of the testicle, epididymis, vas deferens. The prostate, the seminal vesicles. Spermatogenesis and hormonal regulation. Epididymal maturation and ejaculation.
- The female reproductive system: the functions of the ovary, fallopian tube, uterus, vagina. Follicogenesis and hormonal regulation. Ovarian cycle, endometrial cycle, menstruation.
- Fertilization: pre-implantation embryonic development. Embryonic implantation. The placenta. General concepts related to pregnancy, childbirth and lactogenesis.
