Expected Learning Outcomes

Learning objectives in this area may include understanding the basic principles of sports organisation, knowledge of various organisational structures in the field of sport, ability to analyse and evaluate sports management and policies, and awareness of the challenges and opportunities in the world of sport. In addition, learning outcomes could include the ability to plan and manage a sports organisation efficiently, as well as develop strategies for addressing problems and promoting the well-being of athletes and sport enthusiasts.

The prerequisites for the sport management module could include:

 1. Basic business management knowledge: it is useful to have an understanding of basic concepts such as marketing, finance, human resources and business strategy.

 2. Knowledge of the sport sector: familiarity with the sports industry, its main players, current trends and specific challenges of the sector.

 3. Analytical skills: to be able to analyse data, identify problems and develop effective solutions.

 4. Effective communication: ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner, both in writing and in speaking.

 5. Critical thinking: be able to critically assess complex situations and make informed decisions.

The concept of a company; The entrepreneur: definition and requirements; The business, craft and industrial entrepreneur; Family and marital enterprise.

Companies: definition and requirements; Partnerships; Capital companies; Cooperative societies; Sports associations.

Turnover; Invoice, receipt and receipt; Taxes and duties; VAT, VAT rates, VAT clearance; VAT split.

The annual financial statements: profit and loss account, balance sheet and notes.
