Module INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEMS
Academic Year 2025/2026 - Teacher:
STEFANO IACONO
Expected Learning Outcomes
D1 - Knowledge and Understanding
The student will be able to understand the theoretical and technical concepts
of information processing systems, with a focus on
applications in physiotherapy and epidemiology, and will be able to describe how
these support the acquisition, processing, and analysis of health
data.
D2 - Ability to Apply Knowledge and Understanding
The student will be able to apply knowledge of information systems to
solve problems related to the management of epidemiological and health
data, using appropriate tools and software for analysis
in physiotherapy.
D3 - Independent Judgment
The student will be able to critically evaluate the reliability of
data collected with information systems, analyzing the results
with respect to research objectives and physiotherapy practice.
D4 - Communication Skills
The student will be able to communicate the results of data analysis in a
clear and technical manner, both in academic and professional contexts,
adapting the language for non-expert interlocutors, such as patients and
colleagues from other disciplines.
D5 - Learning Ability
The student will develop the ability to independently update themselves on
new technologies for data management and processing in
physiotherapy and epidemiology, adopting a critical and
proactive approach to the use of digital resources to improve their
professional practice.
