Expected Learning Outcomes

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to define nutritional needs across the life cycle, such as childhood and adolescence, adulthood, old age and pregnant/breastfeeding women
Consequently they will be able to develop food plans for clinical practice in each of the conditions mentioned above.

Course Structure

Frontal lessons.

To guarantee equal opportunities and in compliance with the actual regulation, students can ask for a personal interview in order to plan compensatory and / or dispensatory requests, based on the didactic objectives and specific needs.

Required Prerequisites

Students should know the basic principles of human nutrition, the role of macro- and micronutrients, and the relation between the major food groups and human healthas well as having already studied the needs at a theoretical level in the various stages of life

- drafting a diet for a woman with gestational diabetes and obesity
- drafting a breastfeeding diet
- drafting of a diet in pediatrics
