Expected Learning Outcomes

The course allows the student to acquire knowledge related to the pathological conditions and abnormalities of the endocrine and immune systems that cause male and female infertility

Course Structure

Frontal/ traditional teaching with support of slides

Required Prerequisites

The course requires that the basics of histology, anatomy, and physiology of the male and female reproductive system have first been assimilated

Attendance of Lessons

Mandatory with up to 20% absence

Detailed Course Content

Pathological alterations of the male reproductive system: dysfunctions of the testicle, epididymis, vas deferens,  prostate, and seminal vesicles. 

Pathological alterations of the female reproductive system: dysfunctions of the ovary, tube, uterus, vagina. Changes in folliculogenesis and hormone regulation of the ovarian cycle, endometrial cycle, menstruation
