Expected Learning Outcomes

  • Communicate an oral and written message correctly (grammar, vocabulary, intonation, pronunciation);
  • Understanding an oral and written message on topics of of everyday life, personal and social interest;
  • Acquire vocabulary on the topics covered;
  • Development of reading, listening and comprehension skills through audiovisual and multimedia supports.

Course Structure

The course consists of 14 hours of lectures.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.

Required Prerequisites

Excellent knowledge of Italian language and CEFR level A1 of English language.

Detailed Course Content

The course aims to develop communicative self-sufficiency of participants in international and multicultural contexts. It will be based on grammar and practical activities (reading and comprehension of texts; listening; oral and written production). Through the use of audiovisual learning material and role play activities, we intend to enhance the lexical skills and develop critical and analytical skills in a foreign language.

The course starts with an entrance test in order to evaluate the initial knowledge level of the attendees and to orientate the teaching in a targeted and functional way to the real needs of the students.
