Course Structure
In the classroom: learning focuses on scientific foundations: the physiology of aging, pathologies, assessment methodologies, and programming principles. Lectures, case studies, and discussions are used to develop critical and analytical skills. The goal is to provide solid knowledge and understanding.
In the gym: practical application and know-how are developed. Under the instructor's supervision, students learn to:
Use specific equipment.
Conduct functional assessment tests.
Demonstrate and correct exercises.
Adapt protocols to individual needs.
Manage group dynamics and safety.
This rotation allows students to directly experiment with techniques, develop interpersonal skills, and hone the pedagogical sensitivity needed to interact effectively with the elderly population, creating an essential bridge between theoretical knowledge and operational effectiveness in the field.
