Expected Learning Outcomes

The course involves acquiring knowledge about general psychology and sports psychology. The study's main aim is to provide the student with the basic and necessary knowledge to understand the fundamentals and theoretical bases of psychology and sports psychology.

Course Structure

Through PowerPoint presentations and films, frontal lectures will illustrate the main theoretical models of developmental psychology, referencing the most recent national and international research on specific topics included in the program. In addition, in-depth seminar meetings and study groups will be organised to stimulate, through debate, scientific curiosity and critical analysis of the main topics proposed.

Learning Assessment Procedures

For the evaluation, the teacher will take into account the following:

Knowledge and understanding: Knowledge of general psychology and sports psychology fundamentals, particularly cognitive, emotional and motivational domains.

Applied knowledge and understanding: Acquisition of knowledge of general and sports psychology mechanisms and possible alterations.

You are making judgements: Ability to summarize and compare general and sports psychology (e.g. attention, memory, executive functions) in sport.

Communication skills: Ability to communicate the contents learned during the course with a personal style and appropriate terminology.

Ability to learn: Understanding, analyzing and processing the contents of general and sports psychology texts to undertake subsequent in-depth studies independently

The following parameters will be taken into account for the vote:

Score 29-30 cum laude: the student has an in-depth knowledge of the required topics, is able to promptly and correctly integrate and critically analyze the situations presented, independently solving even highly complex problems; He has excellent communication skills and masters medical-scientific language.

Score 26-28: the student has a good knowledge of the required topics, is able to integrate and analyze the situations presented in a critical and linear way, is able to solve complex problems quite autonomously and explains the topics clearly using appropriate medical-scientific language.

Score 22-25: the student has a fair knowledge of the required topics, even if limited to the main topics; he is able to integrate and analyze the situations presented in a critical but not always linear way and exposes the topics quite clearly with a good command of language.

Score 18-21: the student has minimal knowledge of the required topics, has a modest ability to integrate and critically analyze the situations presented and presents the topics in a sufficiently clear way although the language skills are poorly developed.

Exam not passed: the student does not have the minimum required knowledge of the main contents of the course. The ability to use specific language is very poor or non-existent and he is not able to apply the acquired knowledge independently
