Academic Year 2025/2026 - Teacher: LUCA PETRIGNAExpected Learning Outcomes
Provide knowledge and skills to understand the principles for structuring a motor training adapted to an oncology or disabled population. Consolidate notions on cardiovascular training, to increase muscle strength, on joint mobility, in order to be able to select the type of physical exercise most suitable for the individual. Learn the tools to structure a physical activity plan and specific evaluation tests for the population under consideration. Develop work plans based on the objectives to be achieved, the needs and abilities of the individual.
Course Structure
Lectures, theorical-practical exercises (classroom workshops), cooperative teaching (student-professor) through sharing of teaching material and multimedia supports.
If the teaching is given in a mixed or remote mode, the necessary changes may be introduced with respect to what was previously stated, in order to comply with the program envisaged and reported in the syllabus.
Furthermore, in order to fulfill the requirement and necessity of the ATP (practical technical activities) established by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MUR) for the 2025-2026 academic year, They will conduct practical technical lessons on exercise execution techniques for the target population. These activities will correspond to 15 hours for each credit required for the course.
Required Prerequisites
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, theory of human movement, theory and methodology of training.
Attendance of Lessons
Mandatory frequency with a maximum of 20% of hours of the total amout (theory and practical lessons)

Intervention planning: Development of work plans for the physical and psychological well-being of the person with cancer, or the so-called "survivors". Development of work plans for the physical and psychological well-being of the person with physical or cognitive disabilities. Basic assistance and counseling.
Theoretical-practical activities in the classroom: Creation of evaluation and intervention plans for the populations studied during the course of study.
Practical activity: Laboratory activity during which students will try the possible tests and training that can be proposed in the populations studied.
