Expected Learning Outcomes

  • D1 - Knowledge and Understanding
    By the end of the module, the student should acquire a solid understanding of the rehabilitation methodologies and techniques applied in critical care settings, including the physiological and clinical foundations that justify the use of these techniques. The student will be able to describe the main rehabilitation methods used in intensive care and emergency situations, understanding the pathophysiological issues that determine their application.

  • D2 - Ability to Apply Knowledge and Understanding
    The student will develop the ability to apply the theoretical knowledge learned to create personalized rehabilitation plans for critically ill patients. By the end of the module, the student will be able to plan and implement rehabilitation interventions based on each patient's specific clinical condition, adapting techniques and treatment methods to the acute phase of the illness.

  • D3 - Judgment and Decision-Making
    The student will acquire the ability to autonomously assess the patient's condition and determine therapeutic priorities, making informed decisions based on clinical evidence and following established guidelines. Additionally, the student will be able to recognize their own limitations and seek support when necessary to ensure the best possible care for the patient.

  • D4 - Communication Skills
    The student will develop effective communication skills to interact with patients and the healthcare team. The student will be able to clearly explain the rehabilitation plan, gather useful information from patients, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to continuously monitor and adjust the treatment based on the patient's progress.

  • D5 - Learning Ability
    Finally, the student will be able to continually update themselves on new rehabilitation techniques and practices in critical care. They will utilize scientific literature and other resources to constantly improve their clinical practice, actively participating in professional development to ensure high-quality care.

    Oral exam. Elements to be evaluated: relevance of the answers, quality of their contents, ability to connect with other topics within the program, ability to report examples, quality of technical language, and overall expressive ability.
