MEDICAL SCIENCES
Module SPORT PHARMACOLOGY AND DOPING

Academic Year 2023/2024 - Teacher: VINCENZO MICALE

Expected Learning Outcomes

The aim of this course is the knowledge for the general mechanisms of drugs action, the principles of pharmacokinetics, the adverse effects and the more important pharmacological interactions. After completing this module, students gain understanding the main pharmacological and pharmacotherapeutic mechanisms of different classes of drugs.

Course Structure

Traditional lecture. Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Required Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and chemistry

Attendance of Lessons

Attendance at training activities is mandatory for at least 75% of the frontal interactive educational activities of each course and at least 50% of each individual logistic unit (module) of the course itself.
