The aim of general pathology course is to provide the bases for understanding the pathological mechanisms involved in the development of human diseases. During the course, the causes of disease (etiology), the mechanisms by which the etiological agents cause pathological conditions (pathogenesis) will be discussed. Finally, will be elucidated the molecular and cellular mechanisms that allow the organism to counteract the effects of pathogens and other harmful agents.
Course Structure
The teaching will be carried out through the provision of classroom teaching lessons.
Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.
