Expected Learning Outcomes

To acquire knowledge on the risk factors of diseases and the levels and types of prevention

To know the strategies and techniques to adopt to promote the public health and the health education at the individual and community level

To implement the role of the occupational therapist as a promoter of the health and prevention within the multidisciplinary rehabilitative team

Risk factors: definition, methods, and identification techniques. The role of healthcare professionals

Prevention, chronicity, and disability. Rehabilitation and reintegration. Planning tools and preventive and rehabilitative assistance

Clinical risk, adverse event, and "sentinel" event: definition, prevention, and management. Guidelines and appropriateness of care

The occupational therapy in the promotion of health and secondary and tertiary prevention across different age groups and types of subject
