Expected Learning Outcomes

The main objective of the course is to provide the specific characteristics of individual sports, highlighting the performance aspects of the same. Particular emphasis will be given to practical teaching as a methodology for teaching, learning individual sports and the common characteristics of physical preparation. At the end of the course the student will have learned the didactic progression of the various technical gestures, as well as being able to identify the various performance models.

Course Structure

The teaching methodology includes frontal lessons, in e-learning mode, with participatory classroom activities and with discussion and interaction with the students, in order to have immediate feedback on the achievement of the objective.

In addition to the lectures, there will be meetings with experts and theoretical-practical exercises in individual and group form on a topic of study, a clinical case, aimed at the presentation of a group in-depth report (pdf paper) or the drafting of a work plan.

The historical origins of Individual Sports (notes).

Individual Sports and the national and international sports system (notes).

 Motor skills and abilities.

The basic motor patterns and their development.

Coordination and conditional motor skills

Relationship between motor skills and fine motor skills

 The phases of the motor learning process

Body control and training of postural schemes and main motor actions, acrobatic schemes in the various sports disciplines

The possible classifications of Individual Sports.

Based on the medium

Sports technique concept. The teaching of sports technique.

The didactic skills of the sports technician: knowledge, skills and competences.

Stages of the teaching process. The pre-active phase: planning of activities, evaluation, objectives, contents and activities; practice organization and contextual interference; the training plan.
